Japanese automaker Toyota has officially announced its return to the Russian market with the Land Cruiser Prado and RAV4 models. A second meeting with dealers is expected in April, where operational plans for the comeback will be discussed.
Earlier, in February, Toyota held a closed summit in the UAE, where it confirmed its intention to return to Russia as soon as circumstances allow. The upcoming meeting will reveal specific dates and commitments the brand must fulfill.
It is important to note that the St. Petersburg plant was sold without a buyback option, which complicates a rapid resumption of production.
Unfortunately, the Camry is not planned for production at this time due to high costs.
